Kate Middleton has put an end to rumours of tension with Meghan Markle by opening up about her sister-in-law’s pregnancy.
This week, reports have been circulating that the Duchess of Cambridge and Sussex are struggling to get along.
However, during a recent trip to Leicester Kate made it clear that these reports were just hearsay.
While visiting the city, Kate and Prince William paid tribute to those who died in a helicopter crash last month, including the owner of the Leicester City football team, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, before stopping by the University of Leicester.
A member of the public who met the couple shared a video of her conversation with the Duchess on Instagram, asking: “Are you excited for Meghan and her new baby?”
Kate replied: “Yeah, absolutely. It's such a special time to have little kiddies and a cousin for George and Charlotte and Louis! It's really special.'
The Duchess also revealed that her three children are getting excited for Christmas, adding: “They've started all their Christmas songs and Christmas trees are going up and all that.
“And Louis is getting bigger. It's been seven months now — I can't believe it.”
Kate’s comments follow rumours of a feud which were fuelled by the announcement that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be moving from Kensington House to Windsor Castle.
Next year, the couple and their new baby, which is due in March, will reside in Frogmore Cottage at Windsor Castle, which is located close to where they celebrated their wedding reception at Frogmore House in May.
A spokesman for the couple said: “Windsor is a very special place for Their Royal Highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate. The Duke and Duchess’s office will continue to be based at Kensington Palace."
