'It's real lad' - UFC star Paddy Pimblett sends message to Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba

UFC star Paddy Pimblett has issued a frank assessment of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, who he believes cannot be considered 'world class'.

The Liverpool fighter, and passionate fan of Jurgen Klopp's side, has enjoyed a meteoric rise following a debut UFC victory against Luigi Vendramini.

Known for his brash talking and not holding back, Pimblett has now caught the eye with his views on the football scene.

He already caused quite a stir when he named United midfielder Bruno Fernandes as the player he'd most like to fight, someone he believes is "overrated."

Now, he's doubled-down and offered his assessment of Pogba, a player he believes isn't world class due to his lack of consistency.

"Paul Pogba is not world class. You can't play well for two games, then play bad for three and then be world class," he told MOTDx.

"It's real lad. If he was consistent, he would be world class."

Pogba has been in sublime form at the start of the Premier League season, with seven assists in the first five matches of the campaign.

The 28-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and has been heavily touted with a transfer to the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

He'll go toe-to-toe with Liverpool at Old Trafford next month, with the reverse fixture at Anfield coming in March.
