'It's possibly the worst feeling imaginable' Distraught dad begs daughter to come home after schoolgirl vanishes from Glasgow

A distraught dad is begging his daughter to 'come home' after the schoolgirl vanished from Glasgow.

Demi Sweeney has been missing overnight leaving her dad, Tommy Sweeney, worried sick.

Police are now searching for the 15-year-old who was last seen leaving her gran's in the Drumoyne area at about 4.30pm yesterday.

She is believed to have left pals at around 7pm sparking concerns and has links to the Maryhill area.

Tommy said: "This has never happened before it's horrible.

"I just want to tell her to come home.

"I don't care what she has been up to I just want to see that she is safe.

"She's about 5'4" dark hair and glasses.

"It's possibly the worst feeling imaginable especially when the friend she is with tells everyone that she left Demi in town at 7pm."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "I can confirm we have a missing person report under that name and enquiries continue to trace her."
