Some Arsenal supporters have been left confused by the latest update regarding Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
The attacking duo, who both missed Friday evening's 2-0 defeat to newly-promoted Brentford due to illness, are both doubts for next weekend's all-London derby against Chelsea, football.london understands.
With both Aubameyang and Lacazette missing against the Bees, the Gunners fielded youngsters Folarin Balogun and Gabriel Martinelli in attack, with Eddie Nketiah also absent through injury.
Speaking ahead of the defeat at the Brentford Community Stadium, Mikel Arteta spoke about the absence of his striker pairing, but did not go into too much detail on what the exact problem was.
"[Aubameyang and Lacazette] feel unwell, that's all I can say. Instead of thinking of excuses, we think of solutions so that's what we will do today," Arteta told Sky Sports on Friday evening.
Now, with the news we broke earlier this afternoon that Aubameyang and Lacazette are both unlikely to feature at the Emirates Stadium next weekend, Arsenal supporters have taken to Twitter to express their feelings - and it has left some baffled.

When asked after the game if the absence of the forwards impacted the Gunners, Arteta said: "I don’t know but certainly I don’t want to use any excuses.
"We had a team that we put out there that are good enough to play the way we want to play and capable of achieving a different result."
He also had a message for the supporters who made the trip to Brentford: "First of all [I want to] thank them, because of the support they have given to the team from the travelling fans who were here.
"And after that apologise for the result and we know that we have to improve.
"We have two big games coming up right now and we need a different performance to get a different result."
