It's officially Christmas in Dublin as iconic Swords supermarket JC's rolls out their annual Easter Egg sale

There's one sure-fire way that North Dubliners get a sense that it's begginning to feel a lot like Christmas - when JC' Savage's supermarket rolls out their Easter eggs.

Yes. The famous Swords shopping mecca's quirky festive tradition is back - and as always, their loyal customers are delighted.

The long-standing practice of selling chocolate eggs alongside selection boxes has always proved a hit with customers in the run-up to Christmas.

This year, you can snap up a Crunchie, Twirl, Wispa or Creme Egg large "Easter" egg for €6.00 - and the store is also offering a tenner off every €50 spent.

Punters reacted with glee at JC's post, with many welcoming the fact that the tradition is living on despite JC's recently being taken over by Dunnes Stores.

One shopper wrote: "Yay. J'C's Christmas tradition still lives on!" And another agreed, posting: "Saw them yesterday and said it's finally Christmas."

Last Christmas we told you the origins of this quirky Dublin tradition - you can read more about it here. Easter is still a good 17 weeks away - so fans of Creme Eggs would otherwise have a long time to wait if it wasn't for the innovative team at JCs.

We've put in a call to ask if they'd consider flogging selection boxes at Easter. Watch this space!
