Newcastle have officially revealed their home kit design for the coming season. The shirts are available to buy on the club's official retail site and come with the message: A new start. A new shirt. A new better.
As reported exclusively by ChronicleLive last month, the new design sees a return of the popular grandad neck collar that was famously worn in the mid-1990s by Kevin Keegan's Entertainers.
The shirt is described on the website as having "been expertly crafted to be lightweight, highly breathable and moisture-wicking, with enhanced ventilation provided by mesh underarm panels. Made from high-stretch fabric to offer exceptional ease of movement and comfort of fit."

Men's and women's replica shirts are currently available for £65, a junior version that doesn't feature the Fun88 logo is priced at £50. The shorts are £30 with socks £16.
The crest does appear to be embroidered on these replicas, however it has been embroidered on to a separate patch of material and then stitched to the shirt. Other details include heat-pressed slogans: 'Black and White Army' appears on the inside neck line, with 'Better Never Stops' on the inside of the hem at the waist. The latter is a Castore brand slogan.
The Newcastle logo is also heat-pressed into the lower neckline next to the Castore logo.
On the eve of the official launch images were leaked of two Newcastle United Castore shirts. We now know that the home shirt in yesterday's leak was a replica home kit. The second shirt in the image has been confirmed as the home goalkeeper shirt, despite having short sleeves, as many modern keepers, including Martin Dubravka, prefer short sleeves.
The club have confirmed red names and numbers will be used again. Personalisation is currently only available in official club store. The away shirt and third kits are set for their official unveiling later in July.
We'll be hosting a Live Q&A at 11am to discuss the new shirt. Click HERE to leave your thoughts and questions about the new kit for our writers.
