It's official! Most football fans want to see Nottingham Forest back in the Premier League

Nottingham Forest have not been in the top-flight of English football for two decades now. But it seems it is not just Reds fans who would like to see them return.

Forest are one of the most popular choices across the country when it comes to selecting teams for an ideal Premier League.

Supporters have been having their say on which clubs would comprise their perfect Premier League – and the results show there is a keen desire to see Martin O’Neill’s side back among the elite.

Should Nottingham Forest boss Martin O'Neill change a winning side?

Sixty-three percent of those who took part in the poll would like to see the Reds mixing it with the best, making them the 15th most popular choice.

Their arch-rivals Derby County on the other hand, are nowhere to be seen on the list.

There are a number of clubs currently plying their trade in the Championship who are among the most picked sides, with Leeds United, Aston Villa, the two Sheffield teams and Blackburn Rovers all making the cut.

If fans got their way, it would make for a very different looking table, though the so-called Big Six of Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Chelsea have also garnered plenty of support.
