It's official! Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan to star in the Hindi remake of 'Vikram Vedha'

Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan will star in the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit film, ‘Vikram Vedha’. The film will be directed by the makers of the original film, Pushkar-Gayathri.

After impressing the audience with the R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi starrer in Tamil, the director duo Pushkar-Gayathri will now helm the Hindi version with Hrithik and Saif in the lead roles. The film is slated to hit the theatres on September 30, 2022.

The film draws from the ancient lore of Vikram-Betaal, where a wily gangster manages to escape every time a determined cop nabs him, by narrating a new story drawn from his own life.

Earlier, reports were rife that Aamir Khan was expected to play the character of Vedha. However, the ‘PK’ star reportedly backed out of the project for reasons best known to him, and Hrithik was roped in for the role.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Saif will next be seen in ‘Bhoot Police’ where he will be seen playing the role of a ghostbuster. The film also stars Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam in lead roles.

Hrithik, on the other hand, will be teaming up with none other than Deepika Padukone for the first time in his next film. Being helmed by Siddharth Anand, the film is titled ‘Fighter’. The film is reportedly India’s first aerial action franchise.
