It’s official: ESPN is releasing the Michael Jordan ‘The Last Dance’ documentary early, on April 19

It’s happening.

A common refrain we’ve seen during this quarantine due to the coronavirus isolation is one in which sports fans beg ESPN to speed up the release of “The Last Dance,” the massive, 10-part (!) new Michael Jordan documentary the network has been working on for quite some time.

In a social media post on Tuesday morning, ESPN broke the news: It was happening, and an originally planned summer release had been pushed up: The doc will now be released on April 19, 2020.

The Sunday night event immediately becomes the must-watch basketball event of the month, and we are so fired up about it.

SportsCenter also released a hype video featuring LeBron James talking to Richard Jefferson about the film.

Get ready everyone, this is happening.
