Sunday, it was reported that the Arkansas Razorbacks were heavily considering Georgia football offensive line coach Sam Pittman for their open coaching vacancy.
Now, it’s a done deal. Athletic Director Hunter Yurachek officially announced the new signing Sunday evening, with one of Pittman’s signature ‘Yessirr’ videos.
Sadly, the traditional ‘Go Dawgs’ slogan quickly turned to ‘Go Hawgs’ and that was that.

Sam is one of the nations best OL coaches, an incredible recruiter and also someone that the kids genuinely love and look up to. This will be a huge hit in recruiting as well as moral with the current players. You can’t replace a Sam Pittman!

Sam Pittman, as #UGA’s associate head coach, plays the biggest role of any assistant on staff. If he is to leave for Arkansas as reports indicate, this would be the biggest staff loss of Kirby Smart’s tenure.
Pittman also has pledges from five OL for 2020 (one 5-star).
