'It's Mr Bean!': Jeremy Corbyn mocked after attempting 'flossing' dance craze at Pride of Britain Awards

Jeremy Corbyn has been mocked after attempting the popular ‘flossing’ dance move backstage at the Pride of Britain Awards.

The Labour leader was likened to comedy character Mr Bean after footage emerged of him dancing alongside Olly Murs and Ashley Banjo at the event on Monday night.

Mr Corbyn, 69, was persuaded to try out the dance craze by ten-year-old Max Johnson - a heart transplant patient who won the Child of Courage award for his efforts to get organ donor rules changed.

But the politician looked immensely uncomfortable and grimaced throughout, swinging his arms limply from side to side.

His moves were aired on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, with presenter Susanna Reid joking: “You say dancing - that's probably the loosest definition of what's happening there."

Guest presenter Adil Ray replied: "It is a bit Mr Bean, isn't it?"

Mr Bean, played by Rowan Atkinson, performed hilariously bad dance moves in a much-loved episode of the hit show from 1991.

Popstar Murs also shared the clip on Twitter, writing: “Check out these dad dance moves! Not everyday you get to floss with Jeremy Corbyn.”

Theresa May has recently developed a trait for awkward public dancing, referenced by her decision to come out on stage grooving to Abba’s Dancing Queen before her speech at the Conservative Party Conference.
