It's just the weather for this Nottinghamshire house and pool: Yours for £925,000

A few days of record-breaking weather has got us to thinking about making the most of the outdoors - and what better way to appreciate the sunshine than with an outdoor swimming pool?

This one could quite literally be on your doorstep.

Imagine stepping out of your house, onto the patio and then down the graduated steps into this outdoor pool.

There's a brick built pool house, which is ideal for entertaining as it incorporates not only a changing room/entertaining space, which is timber clad, but also a timber covered veranda and outdoor barbecue as well. Two sets of French doors open onto a patio.

Of course there is a WC/shower room (although while there is a tiled shower cubicle, plumbing and connection for an electric shower it is not fitted), and the pool itself is heated by an air source heat pump which is located in an outside shed with the water filtration system.

With gardens of around 1.4 acres plus the option to purchase a further 1.3 acres of paddock land (to be negotiated separately) and stunning views, this fabulous home is a gem.

The detached in Sutton Bonington has flexible and versatile accommodation which includes six bedrooms, five bathrooms/shower rooms, two reception rooms, a large dining kitchen, a utility room... even a balcony from which to enjoy the view.

Throughout the accommodation style, comfort and space have been considered. Items such as a multi-fuel log burner in the kitchen and an open-fronted fireplace in the living room have been fitted for those inevitable cooler evenings, while the breakfast kitchen is jam-packed with appliances and units but still leave space for an American style fridge/freezer.

Bedrooms have an array of features. There is a veranda from one bedroom, while others include en suites and air conditioning.

As you might hope, there is a grand entrance too.  Double gates open into a driveway which is edged with leylandii and laurel trees as well as low level lighting. In addition, there are lawned gardens, a double garage, large brick built outbuilding (the owners previously used this as a cattery).

The agent says that the current owners are retaining the ongoing cattery business, which will be moving with them next door, negating the possibility of a prospective purchaser having a cattery/kennel business at the premises.

There is a planning application in process for the land situated at the right hand side of the driveway/entrance gates, this is well hidden from view by the leylandii and laurel trees.

Richard Harrison, director and residential valuer at Bentons, added: "This is such a lovely family home, offering superbly flexible accommodation and great opportunity for family entertaining with all the land to enjoy, coupled with a heated outdoor swimming pool, this is a property for those who want something a little bit different and quite special."
