A Canberra man has won more than $928,000 in a surprise lottery win.
The man was one of seven division one winning entries in the October 17 Saturday Lotto, each walking away with more than $928,700.
He told The Lott he bought the ticket on a whim and almost fell over when he heard the news.
"It was quite a day, I couldn't believe it when I checked my entry online," he said to The Lott.
"I never thought I'd win anything like this! It's life-changing."
He said he would take his time to determine how to enjoy his prize but would start by taking some time away from the office.
"It's going to change things in a big way," he said.
The ticket was purchased at Kingston Supabarn Lotto.
