LONDON _ Giancarlo Stanton might be lost for a month or more due to his latest injury.
"It's going to be some time," Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said. "More than two weeks, I can tell you that."
In fact, "I would say it's safer to look into August" before the slugging outfielder returns to manager Aaron Boone's lineup.
Stanton suffered a PCL sprain of his right knee on Tuesday, while attempting a head-first slide.
Speaking on Thursday before a team-sponsored baseball clinic for kids ahead of this weekend's London Series, Cashman said he'd "get a better feel about timeframe" in the coming weeks.
"I don't want to say it's unlikely in July but the sweet spot would be August in terms of not getting burned.
"If it's sooner than that, I'll take it."
