Ben Watson and Matty Cash have both been named in the Championship’s Team of the Week by statistic website whoscored.com for their impressive displays for Nottingham Forest at the Madejski Stadium.
Cash has been a regular pick by whoscored.com this season and produced another assured display in Saturday’s dramatic 1-1 draw at Reading, racking up 7.9 out of 10. In fact, his performances have been so good that he features in the team of the season to date, along with Reds goalkeeper Brice Samba.
Midfield general Watson was also named in the best XI, after delivering a solid performance and scoring what looked to be the winning goal when he rifled in the Reading net deep into stoppage time, only to see the hosts go up the other end and net a leveller courtesy of an own goal from Tobias Figueiredo.
Watson was given a very respectable rating of eight and was paired alongside former Forest midfielder Gary Gardner, himself getting on the scoresheet.
Ex-Forest defender Sam Hutchinson was also named in the side, while reported attacking target Lukas Jutkiewicz claimed the top mark with 8.7 - the big striker scored early on for Birmingham in their 2-1 win at Luton.
Suffice to say, Reds fans have hardly been shocked about Cash's appearance in the latest rankings...
