'It's f****** Liverpool' - Gary Neville and Roy Keane's priceless reaction after Ireland incident

Jamie Carragher was left in stitches after Gary Neville and Roy Keane's reaction to a Liverpool flag waving at the top of a castle near Cork.

The Sky Sports trio are found on screens across the country as part of the broadcaster's coverage of the Premier League. During their screentime, the former Liverpool and Manchester United players are often locked into fierce debate which prompts viral moments from their reactions.

This year, the cast of The Overlap toured the United Kingdom bringing their panel show to theatres and areas across the region. Carragher, Neville and the outspoken Keane visited Liverpool as part of their journey to discuss their footballing tales as well as tackling the talking points that were relevant at the time.

In a clip posted on Thursday, the trio can be seen walking towards Blarney Castle in Ireland.

Walking up to the historic landmark, Carragher notices something as he looks up, he said: "That looks like the Liverpool badge on the flag there."

Both the former Red Devils team-mates were less than convinced. Neville replied: "Would that be the family crest, or would that be there..."

Keane interjected: "It could be the Cork flag?" But the Champions League-winning defender at Anfield was convinced that it was the same badge that he had upon his chest.

"That does look like the Liverpool badge, doesn't it?" He continued.

The penny soon dropped for both Keane and Neville as the full-back couldn't believe his luck: "It is the f****** Liverpool badge isn't it?" The Irishman added: "It is, it is. Oh, we can't go up."

It turned out that the owner of the castle is a Liverpool fan but the 51-year-old Cork native couldn't resist a dig saying :"It's a shame that it's not half mast, isn't it?"

During their respective career at Old Trafford they both endured fierce battles with Liverpool and went toe-to-toe with Carragher and his teammates. Neville has been open in his disliking of the Reds, while he has been forced to stomach some of his Liverpool dislike after the scintillating form of Jurgen Klopp's side in recent years.
