'It's embarrassing' - Nottingham Forest fans enjoy Derby County's play-off defeat to Leeds

Nottingham Forest fans have been reacting to their arch rivals Derby County losing to Leeds United in their play-off semi-final first leg.

A goal from Kemar Roofe secured a 1-0 win for Marcelo Bielsa’s side at Pride Park, with the second leg taking place at Elland Road on Wednesday night.

The game did have it’s fair share of controversy, with referee Craig Pawson initially awarding Derby a penalty in the second half, only for him to reverse his decision following a discussion with linesman Eddie Smart.

And an incident between Derby defender Fikayo Tomori and Leeds midfielder Mateusz Klich resulted in the latter receiving a yellow card, with Tomori clearly upset with what he suggested was a use of the head by Klich.

'Excuse me I have to go vomit' - Derby County play-offs poem has Leeds United fans in stitches

Here is a selection of what Reds fans have been saying following Derby’s first leg defeat.

Chris Rossin: “Crying on the tele we’re gonna see ya crying on the tele (again).”

Dan: “It NEVER gets dull watching Derby lose in the play-offs. I’m just gutted it’s not in the final.”

Lewis Morris: “Has Lampard started the bounce? Asking for a friend.”

The five best Championship free transfers Nottingham Forest could sign this summer

Ian: “No bounce tonight then.”

OldWiseOne: “Not saying anything about Derby till Wednesday @ 9 o’clock.”

Ed Barnes: “Something about poetic justice watching Richard Keogh scream and shout, throwing his arms around as his Derby team have been completely outplayed. Leeds much better today!”

Bestinterst: “So, you're the home side in a play-off game and you can't even muster a shot on goal. It's embarrassing. If they we're awarded the penalty, they'd have missed it. Hope Leeds crush them at Elland Road.”
