'It's clear they hadn't been used for pruning plants or buttering sandwiches': Police discover trio of weapons during cannabis farm raid

Police discovered a trio of large knives as they raided an industrial-level cannabis farm filled with 200 plants.

Officers broke up a cannabis grown near Bury on Wednesday, March 24, featuring 'all the usual equipment and paraphernalia'.

The officers, from Rossendale Police, commented that the 'perceived rights and wrongs of cannabis are always hotly debated' on social media, including on the force's own Facebook page.

But the police were left alarmed by the three weapons they uncovered at the site.

The officers posted the image of the concerning knives, adding: "We have dismantled another cannabis grow at a premises on Bacup Road, Waterfoot.

"The premises had around 200 plants as well as the usual equipment and paraphernalia.

"The perceived rights and wrongs of cannabis are always hotly debated on the Rossendale page but here are some of the weapons we found in the address.

"Their intended use is up for debate but it was clear they hadn't been used for pruning plants or buttering sandwiches."
