It’s Belfast Marathon weekend and Belfast Live has lots happening

The Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon is taking place this Sunday, May 5 and the Belfast Live team will be out and about supporting it every step of the way.

We have lots planned so make sure you stop by the Belfast Live Marquee. You will find us at the Ormeau Park finish area on race day with our giant signature wall. We will be ready and waiting for you lot to sign the wall with some #MarathonCelebrations.

Whether you’re taking part in the marathon, relay, walk or fun run or if you’re simply standing on the sidelines supporting your loved ones we want you to stop by and leave a wee message.

Your personal messages are exactly what your family and friends will want to see at the finish line to celebrate such a massive achievement to show them how proud you are.

Here’s the message wall that our sister site Dublin Live had at the Dublin Marathon Expo to give you an idea of what to expect:

Belfast, now it’s your turn to show your support so make sure you call in.

We will also have some fantastic giveaways including Belfast Live pop sockets for your phones (for the first 500 people into our marquee), balloons and clappers for the kids as well as FOUR fantastic prizes up for grabs if you enter our photo competition including:

• 2 tickets to see Olly Murs at the SSE Arena on May 14
• 2 tickets to Belsonic
• £50 One4All Shopping Voucher

To enter the competition all you have to do is take a photo in front of the wall and add to social media with #MarathonCelebrations.

Four winners will be selected on Wednesday, May 8 and will be contacted via social media. Make sure social profiles are set to public to enter.

You will also have the chance to make it into our Belfast Live Marathon Gallery if you spot our social photographer with the frame.
