BT Sports pundit Chris Hargreaves was impressed with Notts County’s performance against Chesterfield and says momentum is “really building” at Meadow Lane.
The Magpies climbed to sixth in the National League table as a result of their 3-0 win over the Spireites which was broadcast live to the nation on Saturday night.
Viewers were given a treat as Enzio Boldewijn lashed in from 25 yards while Kyle Wootton took his goals tally to 14 for the season with a couple of predatory finishes.
Speaking after their derby victory, Hargreaves, who was analysing the game alongside host Gabriel Clarke, was impressed with what he witnessed.
“They are doing really well,” said Hargreaves.
“It’s been a good story hasn’t it?
“There was a bit of adversity at the start of the season.
“But they were bright and inventive in the second half and it was a thoroughly deserved win.
“It was a big win as well at this stage of the season and that momentum is really building for this famous old club.”
