It’s been 4 years since LeBron James brought a title to Cleveland

Friday marks four years to the day since LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers completed the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history, overcoming a 3-1 deficit to beat the Golden State Warriors, who had also amassed the greatest regular season record of all-time that season, 73-9.

LeBron James finished with a triple-double in Game 7 of 27 points, 11 assists, 11 rebounds, three blocks, and two steals, while also playing nearly the entire game, a total of 46 minutes and 49 seconds. Kyrie Irving also had a heroic 26 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer late in the game that helped seal the win, following LeBron’s iconic block of Andre Iguodala.

Of course, as many Cavs fans will also remind, that several other players like J.R. Smith, Tristan Thompson, and Kevin Love all made significant contributions. The championship was the culmination of LeBron’s Cavaliers career, fulfilling the promise he made when he returned to Cleveland in 2014, that he would bring a championship to his home region of Northeast Ohio.
