'It's back in our hands!' - Chelsea fans react as Arsenal and Man United dealt top four blow

Chelsea's hopes of securing a top four finish took a surprise boost as they retained their spot in the Champions League places.

A 2-2 draw with Burnley on Monday night left the Blues vulnerable to slipping out of the top four - and things looked bad when Tottenham capitalised with a 1-0 win over Brighton on Tuesday evening.

However Maurizio Sarri's side have their fate in their own hands after both Manchester United and Arsenal slipped to defeat.

United were beaten 2-0 by Manchester City at Old Trafford, while the Gunners fell to an unexpected 3-1 defeat at the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

That defeat for Unai Emery's side means that Chelsea remain in fourth place in the league with a one-point buffer over Arsenal.

Fans of the Blues couldn't believe their luck that at holding onto the final Champions League place as they took to social media.
