It's about music, and it comes out monthly

The latest Observer Music Monthly has arrived, although it doesn't hit the streets until Sunday.

The Observer blog linkmaster steps in with a reprimand about flippant linkage.

Sorry. That's Friday afternoon for you.

You will be able to read the latest OMM here on Sunday. But for now that link will transport you to December's issue, which is still well worth reading. The Scissor Sisters, who were all over the cover, are still all over the charts.

But the blog doesn't like anyone to go away empty handed. So we have a sneak preview of Sunday's mag. Nick Franglen of Lemon Jelly (Mercury nominated chill-out psychedlia-mongers) interviews William Shatner (Captain Kirk-turned-spoken word cult legend).

Other joys that await you on Sunday are Nelson George on how Hip Hop has taken over the world in 25 years and an interview with ageing purveyors of rock and umlaut excess Mötley Crüe.

How could you not read it?
