This book was quite a fun and a quick read. I really enjoyed bolting through this book.
This is the story of Luke who meets a girl named Leia, just like in Star Wars. They’re in the same class and Luke’s life revolves around films. They have some things in common as soon as they meet. This is the point where the reader would expect a fairytale relationship of how Luke and Leia were destined to be together.
But Camden shows that that isn’t what reality is like. The author creates a realistic world in this novel in order to show the reader how the characters are ordinary and go about their ordinary lives, but then are also unique in their own sense. For example, Luke is a very ambitious but independant individual who likes to always keep things to himself. His narration is very unique as he pictures everything as a movie scene and the reader really gets to know him.
This book shows Luke and Leia’s journey to become directors and to achieve their dreams. In my opinion it is the perfect post-exam novel.
I would like to recommend this book to all fans of YA as it is really worth reading.
