'It's a scorcher' Iceland's super spicy pizza packs quite a punch

A 'scarily spicy' pizza handily beat one vindaloo fan with a quarter to spare.

The Iceland Even Hotter Scarily Spicy Stonebaked Pizza is topped with extreme hot sauce, spicy chicken and green jalapeño peppers.

Made in the foothills of Mount Etna, the pizza sells for £1.50, reports The Daily Star.

Curry-loving Mike Haywood, 30, took on the challenge managed to chomp through three-quarters of the creation before admitting defeat.

His wife, 28-year-old Polly-marie, captured pictures of her partner struggling through the dish with Mike having to gulp down milk to get the heat out of his mouth.

A third wrote: “Hubby currently eating this. Never seen him sweat so much.”

And a fourth added: “I managed two slices – it actually burnt my mouth lol.”

A minority of commenters said they weren’t too affected by all the spice.

A commenter said: “It’s a belter! Tastes really good and packs quite a kick.”

And another agreed: “I actually had this for my tea at the weekend. Lovely – I love spicy food.”
