Nintendo has announced a new partnership with the Seattle Mariners, which will see the two teams host a special Super Mario Day this Sunday during the Mariners' game against the Los Angeles Angels. If fans are lucky, they may even snag some exclusive merchandise.
The news was shared with us by Nintendo PR, teasing an exclusive custom Super Mario x Mariners Cap that will only be available for the first 15,000 fans to enter the venue. The image of the cap, featuring Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodriquez, was also shared to Destructoid to tease what fans can expect to grab on the day.

It honestly came out of nowhere and is one of many things happening on Sunday at 1:10 pm local time. In addition to the hat, a charity auction will also be held in support of the Mariners Care Foundation. Other events will be available on the day, but for the hardcore Nintendo collector, it's hard not to be excited about the cap; it's also not the first time that Nintendo has struck partnerships with sports teams, let alone the Mariners.
Back in March, Nintendo of America announced it was expanding upon its already long-standing relationship with the club, becoming the team's first-ever official jersey sleeve partner. The Mariners feature the Nintendo racetrack logo on their home jerseys and a Nintendo Switch 2 logo on their away jerseys.
Nintendo has also sponsored other teams in the past, such as Italy's soccer club Fiorentina, with the Nintendo logo proudly emblazoned on the front of their kit. But enough about that. If you find yourself at the Seattle Mariners game this weekend and are able to snag a hat, please show it off to us in the comments. I'm curious how it looks myself.
And if you don't manage to get one, hopefully you can find a reseller at an affordable price that'll let you add something unique to your Nintendo collection.
