'It's a joke!' - Chelsea fans can't believe what happened to Manchester United against Liverpool

Chelsea's surprise home defeat at the hands of Arsenal is looking even more costly.

The Blues went into the London derby against the Gunners at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night knowing a win would have all but sealed their place in the top-four with a couple of Premier League games to spare.

That would have taken the pressure off the upcoming Champions League final against Manchester City at the end of the month.

However, the 1-0 defeat has given the likes of Liverpool, West Ham United, and Tottenham Hotspur fresh hope of taking Chelsea - or Leicester City's - spot in the top-four.

And Liverpool have been the first to send a message to Thomas Tuchel's side.

Coming from behind to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Diogo Jota, a brace from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah's clincher means the top-four race is well and truly alive.

The Reds are now four points behind Chelsea with a game in hand.

That game is on Sunday against already-relegated West Bromwich Albion which means the gap between the two clubs could be one if Liverpool win at The Hawthorns.

As expected, some Chelsea fans have had plenty to say about Man United's inability to hold on to Bruno Fernandes' goal that gave them the lead.

Take a look at what's been said on Twitter...

@cfc_felix_ said: "Every time Chelsea need Man United to drop points they make a comeback. The two games where we need United to win, they can't make a comeback. It's a joke."

@TebogoMaluleke_ said: "Man United hate Chelsea. They only had one job."

@TheShedEndChat said: "I think it’s genuinely gone. Liverpool are riding the wave now with 3 of the best fixtures they could ask for. We have to beat Leicester who are above us and Villa with Grealish back. Last night was awful."
