'It's a crime!' - Chelsea fans cannot believe what Thomas Tuchel has done vs Real Madrid

Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel's team selection for this evening's huge UEFA Champions League semi-final second-leg against Real Madrid has sparked a reaction from the Blues' supporters on social media.

The Blues, who enter this evening's contest with the tie evenly balanced at 1-1 after the first leg in Spain last week, maintained their push for a top-four finish at the weekend, defeating west London rivals Fulham 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.

A brace from attacking midfielder Kai Havertz got the job done for Tuchel's charges, meaning they remain in the driving seat to secure a top-four berth come the end of the season.

As well as getting the win over Fulham, the Blues also recorded yet another clean sheet, meaning they have now kept 17 in 23 games since Tuchel took charge. Extending that tally to 18 this evening would guarantee them a place in the Champions League final against Manchester City because of the all-important away goal they scored last week.

To help the Blues in their quest to record yet another shutout they have been boosted by the return of Antonio Rudiger from injury, meaning he returns to the starting line-up.

Alongside the German, N'Golo Kante and Mason Mount have been named in the starting line-up, as Tuchel looks to reach the final of the Champions League for the second season in a row.

As well as Kante and Mount being handed starting berths, Cesar Azpilicueta, Timo Werner and Havertz also start this evening.

Chelsea starting line-up: Mendy; Christensen, Silva, Rudiger; Azpilicueta, Jorginho, Kante, Chilwell; Havertz, Mount; Werner. Substitutes: Arrizabalaga, Caballero, Alonso, Abraham Pulisic, Zouma, Giroud, Hudson-Odoi, Ziyech, Gilmour, James, Emerson.

Following Saturday's win over Fulham, Tuchel has made a total of four changes to his starting line-up. Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Kante and Jorginho have come into the side, whilst Kurt Zouma, Reece James, Billy Gilmour and Hakim Ziyech have made way.

Most of the reaction to Tuchel's selection choice has centred around Pulisic not being included in the starting line-up. The USA international terrorised Madrid for large portions of the first leg last week and looked as though he would be a certain starter. That, however, has not proven to be the case.

Below, football.london has taken a closer look at what some Chelsea fans have had to say on social media in response to Pulisic being named amongst the substitutes.

Having been left out of the starting line-up against Fulham on Saturday, it was thought that the former Borussia Dortmund ace, given how well he had performed in Spain last week, would return this evening.

However, although a number of Chelsea fans are not happy with Tuchel's decision to not hand him a starting berth, it could prove to be a tactical masterstroke, as his pace off the bench could come in handy if he is needed to rustle a few feathers in the Madrid defence as the game wears on.
