Some 400 bargain bottles of high-end booze are being auctioned off - just in time for Christmas.
Among the spirits being sold are premium bottles of whisky, vodka and gin which usually retail for between £30 and £50.
The opening bid is just £1.
Stockport-based auction house Simon Charles launched the online booze auction last week and, with six days still to go, many of them have attracted no bids at all, meaning they are available for £1.
By Sunday afternoon the highest bid was £6 for a Laphroaig Islay Triple Wood single malt whisky which retails for more than £50 on the high street.
The lot has come from a hospitality company which had intended the spirits for Christmas functions, weddings and corporate dos.
Auctioneer Ed Railton said: "It's a buyers' market. Everything will be coming in at much lower than you would expect to pay at retail, which is great for people tightening their belts at this time of year.
"For the price of a normal supermarket midrange, you could get something a little bit more special."
Among the bottles on offer are gins and whiskies from small independent distilleries some of which are limited editions and are no longer being produced, according to Ed.
Many of the bottles, including Darnley's London Dry gin, are still available for the opening bid of £1.
A bottle of 12-year-old Castle Rock Scotch, which retails at around £40, is available for £7.
A Laphroaig Islay single malt scotch is currently available for £3 even though it retails for around £35.
The ten-year-old version, which retails at around £40, is priced at £3.
