'It's a challenge' - Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp makes expectations admission

Jurgen Klopp says managing the expectations at Liverpool and the pressure that comes with winning is a 'challenge'.

The Reds are currently on a 25-game unbeaten run following their victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League midweek.

Klopp's side matched a record set back in 1982 under the great Bob Paisley, who enjoyed nine successful seasons in the Anfield dugout.

The current Liverpool boss says it 'takes work' to maintain his side's identity and continue winning.

"There's responsibility, there's pressure, because we are Liverpool," Klopp told Sky Sports.

"There's big expectations from that point of view.

"It means we have to win. It's not that it would be nice if you win from time to time, we expect from ourselves, and people expect from us, that we are much more often than not on the winning side of a football game.

"To keep that going is a challenge. It's a mindset. We have to stay determined and committed to all the things we do.

"The way we play is not a relaxed one. We are a highly intense football team and this is our identity actually.

"We want to be that and it's work to be that, but even more work to stay that."

Liverpool will look to extend their unbeaten run and surpass the record set by Paisley's team with a victory over West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday.
