It's a boy! Earl and Countess of Dumbarton announce birth of their first child

The Earl and Countess of Dumbarton have welcomed their baby boy into the world this morning.

Buckingham Palace announced today that Meghan Markle had delivered her son at 05.26am today (May 6), weighing 7lbs 3oz.

Speaking this morning, Prince Harry said: "Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning - a very healthy boy.

"Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It's been the most amazing experience, I could ever possibly imagine.

"How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension.

"We're both absolutely thrilled and so grateful to all the lovely support from everybody out there.

"It's been amazing so we just wanted to share this with you."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were married last May, and were given the titles linking them with Dumbarton following their wedding.
