'It's 2018 again' - Liverpool fans say the same thing as Jurgen Klopp's men inflict Champions League pain on Porto

Liverpool cruised to victory away to Porto in the Champions League, securing a 5-1 win against the Portuguese side.

Jurgen Klopp's side sit top of Group B with a possible six points from six, having already beaten AC Milan 3-2 at Anfield.

There was a sense of familiarity to the Reds' triumph in Portugal on Tuesday evening, with Liverpool winning comfortably on their previous two trips to the Estadio do Dragao.

Klopp's side were 5-0 winners back in February 2018 in the first leg of their round of 16 match versus Porto, with Sadio Mane (3), Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino all on target.

This was then followed up the following season by a 4-1 victory in the quarter-final second leg, booking the Reds' place into the semi-finals of the competition in the process.

For a third time under Klopp's stewardship, Liverpool have run riot at the home of Porto with this latest win.

All of the five goals were scored by the Reds' famous front three, with doubles from Firmino and Salah accompanied by a solitary strike from Mane.

This felt very much like a throwback performance from Liverpool, who have inflicted yet another evening to forget on their opponents.

Reaction to the Reds' impressive display on social media, Liverpool supporters couldn't help but feel they had witnessed the same 90 minutes of action before.

Klopp's side will next face an away trip to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on October 19.

Following this, Diego Simeone's men will travel to Anfield on November 3.
