Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez fired back at President Donald Trump on Tuesday after he called her one of the “dumbest” members of Congress. The heated exchange came after Ocasio-Cortez called for Trump’s impeachment over military strikes against Iran.
According to Mediaite, Trump wrote a lengthy post on Truth Social attacking the New York congresswoman. He questioned her intelligence and also insulted two other Democratic representatives. The president’s harsh words came in response to Ocasio-Cortez’s impeachment call.
Ocasio-Cortez responded on X with sharp criticism of the president. “It only took you 5 months to break almost every promise you made,” she wrote. She told Trump not to take his anger out on her and called herself “just a silly girl” in what appeared to be sarcastic language.
Trump attacks multiple Democratic congresswomen over impeachment calls
In his Truth Social post, Trump called Ocasio-Cortez ‘Stupid AOC’ and described her as one of the ‘dumbest’ people in Congress, following his pattern of inflammatory posts on the platform. He said the reason for her criticism was the victories America has had under his administration. Trump also targeted Reps. Jasmine Crockett of Texas and Ilhan Omar of Minnesota are in the same post.
The president said he would examine Ocasio-Cortez’s test scores to prove she is not qualified for office. He claimed she was still more qualified than Crockett, who he called “a seriously Low IQ individual.” Trump also criticized Omar, saying she “does nothing but complain about our Country.”
Mr. President, don’t take your anger out on me – I’m just a silly girl.

Take it out on whoever convinced you to betray the American people and our Constitution by illegally bombing Iran and dragging us into war.

Ocasio-Cortez is pushing for Trump’s impeachment because she believes his weekend strikes on Iran were against the Constitution. She accused the president of breaking his promises to the American people, continuing her track record of challenging Trump’s business practices that led to significant legal consequences. The congresswoman suggested Trump was betraying voters who supported him based on his campaign pledges.
The New York representative told Trump to blame whoever convinced him to bomb Iran illegally and drag the country into war. She said this action went against both the American people and the Constitution. In a follow-up post, Ocasio-Cortez referenced her Bronx background and made a pointed comment about Trump’s Queens origins.
“Also, I’m a Bronx girl. You should know that we can eat Queens boys for breakfast. Respectfully,” she wrote on X. This comment appeared to be a direct challenge to Trump, using their shared New York backgrounds as part of her response.
The exchange highlights growing tensions between Trump and Democratic lawmakers over foreign policy decisions. Ocasio-Cortez’s impeachment call reflects concerns among some Democrats about presidential war powers and military action without congressional approval.
