It only took 8 games for Jets fans to fly a ‘Fire Adam Gase’ plane

Jets fans have taken their efforts to the extreme in order to get Adam Gase fired.

A group of Jets fans created a GoFundMe page to raise money for a plane to fly over New York City with a banner reading “FIRE ADAM GASE NOW!” The account raised $2,640, which allowed the group of fans to follow through with their promise of flying the plane over the city.

Here’s a quick little video of the plane flying over the George Washington Bridge on Friday.

While the plane is directed at Gase fafter a 1-7 start to his Jets career, it’s also a message for Christopher Johnson. He was the one who signed off on Gase’s hiring. He’ll have to be the one to fire him, too, if the Jets do indeed come to that conclusion.

This is the second time that a group of Jets fans has flown a plane in order to get someone fired. In 2014, Jets fans flew a plane over the team’s training facility in Florham Park that read “Fire John Idzik,” New York’s former general manager.

Jets fans don’t want to do these types of things. They want to see the Jets succeed, but when the team routinely struggles, they’re going to speak out. Since the Johnson’s bought the Jets in 2000, they have gone through six different head coaches and six different general managers.

Frankly, it’s a surprise there haven’t been more planes over the years.
