Johnny Manziel is no longer employed by the Montreal Alouettes and the Canadian Football League. It would make sense for the XFL or AAF to contact Manziel right not to get him on board. No one knows why Manziel has been released from the CFL, but it seems like he’s still interested in playing football.
Well, the NFL isn’t an option right now. The AAF is already a few weeks into their season and Manziel may not want to play for the 3-year $250,000 contract. Rumors are swirling that the XFL will pay its premier players more than just a base number so it looks like Manziel will be on the phone with the XFL if he wants to play in the United States.
Vince McMahon is licking his chops. Manziel is marketable, well-known name who could be the face of the relaunch of the XFL. I am excited for the future Dallas XFL quarterback Johnny Manziel.
