It looks like Death Stranding 2 is set for PC as Hideo Kojima's latest appears on a ratings board ahead of The Game Awards

The ESRB has rated Death Stranding 2: On the Beach for PC, presumably hinting at a reveal being imminent.

Despite Hideo Kojima and Sony making a big deal about working together after Kojima left Konami, the legendary director's games have been some of the quickest to make the jump from PlayStation. The original Death Stranding came to PC by way of publisher 505 Games in July 2020 (around eight months after the PS4 version) after being delayed from its original June release date. And then last year, on the game's fifth anniversary, Kojima Productions announced it had bought the Death Stranding IP and released it on Xbox Series X|S.

From the looks of things, that's going to be repeated for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, as the ESRB has posted a listing for a PC release of the game. The listing seems to be identical to the original PS5 release, and somehow the disgusting detail of "the word 'f**k' is heard in the game" still made it onto PC – truly boundary-pushing stuff.

Given that Death Stranding 2 launched five months ago, if it follows the same timing as the original game, a PC release at the beginning of next year seems somewhat likely. That's not to mention that we can infer that Kojima will almost certainly be at The Game Awards on December 11, 2025, as Death Stranding 2 is the second-most-nominated game at the show (tied with Ghost of Yotei), and Geoff Keighley invites Kojima even when his games aren't nominated, so I'd assume a PC release of Death Stranding 2 is a pretty safe bet to be announced during the show (although another look at OD would be nice too).
