'It is not right' - Alisson Becker makes honest Liverpool form admission after winning award

Alisson Becker believes the form he has shown this season may well be the best he has shown in his career so far - despite the struggles of Liverpool.

The goalkeeper is one of the few players at Anfield who can hold his head up high for his performances this campaign as the Reds currently sit in ninth place in the Premier League.

Liverpool 's number one was named the Reds' Player of the Month after some fine performances in both the Premier League and Champions League in October. The Brazilian also saved a penalty in the 1-0 win over West Ham at Anfield.

Alisson won the Golden Glove last season and has 90 clean sheets to his name after 200 appearances for Liverpool and is set to star at the World Cup in Qatar for Brazil later this month.

The number one told Liverpoolfc.com : "So far, it could be [the best season of my career]. I think last season was a really good season for myself.

"My target is to do at least the same, to keep the same level, but we are playing football and it depends on the team’s performance as well. We are trying to find consistency as a team and if I can do it only for myself, for me it is not right.

"I do things to help the team and I would be happy for that because last season I did so good because of the team, not only because of myself. This moment is no different; not all the results are coming out for us in the end, but this is football and you have to fight.

"You have to try to fight more and my teammates are helping me every match day to be the best I can do.”
