It feels like a dream: Shireen Mirza who married Delhi's Hasan Sartaj in a traditional ceremony in Jaipur

Shireen Mirza tied the nuptial knot with fiancé, Delhi-based IT professional Hasan Sartaj in a traditional nikah ceremony that took place on Saturday evening in her hometown Jaipur. In a gorgeous red-coloured lehenga, Shireen was a radiant dulhan and complimented her traditionally attired dulha miya Hasan. Following traditional rituals, the nikaah was held at a suburban hotel near Jaipur. As both the bride and groom uttered the words ‘qubool hai’, a huge round of applause reverberated in the hall. A teary-eyed Mirza Iqtedar Baig, Shireen’s father shared, “I feel happy as well emotional at the moment. My little girl is married now and this makes me elated. But the thought that she will now leave home is making me very sad. Mere ghar ki raunak ab kisi aur ghar ki raunak ho gayi hai.”

Sharing her happiness Shireen told us, “Finally it has happened! And it still feels like a dream. Sab kuch itni jaldi ho jayega maine socha bhi nahi tha. I’m getting married to my best friend Hasan and I am grateful that he's everything I wanted in my Mr Right.”

The wedding was preceded by fun-filled haldi and sangeet ceremonies that took place on Friday evening. Shireen was surrounded by her family, friends and her ‘Yeh Hain Mohabattein’ buddies Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya, Aly Goni and Krishna Mukherjee,( who had specially flown down from Mumbai to be part of Shireen's shaadi) throughout

Floral decor, floral jewellery & lots of masti

The entire hall was decked up on the floral theme as per Shireen's choice. With a huge smile on her face, YHM's Simi alias Shireen made a musical entry dancing on Bollywood numbers. Wearing a yellow lehenga teamed up with floral jewellery for the haldi ceremony, she looked drop-dead gorgeous. Her buddies also flaunted yellow attire keeping the theme in mind. Aly chose a yellow tee with a pair of blue denims while the rest of the guests wore traditional wear. Haldi was followed by a sangeet ceremony which saw Shireen’s family dancing on Bollywood hit numbers, which mainly included numbers from the '60s and '70. Along with Aly, Divyanka, and Krishna, Shireen too performed.
