The ongoing legal battle between It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has taken another turn, with actress Isabela Ferrer stepping forward with her own accusations against the film’s director and producer.
Ferrer, who played a younger version of Blake Lively’s Lily Bloom, has formally accused Baldoni and his production team — Wayfarer Studios — of acting “inappropriately” and using strong-arm tactics after she got caught in the crossfire of subpoenas flying between Lively and Baldoni.
According to Ferrer’s lawyers, the 24-year-old actress initially contacted Baldoni’s Wayfarer Studios to cover her legal fees, as her contract reportedly required. But instead of straightforward assistance, Ferrer’s attorneys said Wayfarer told her she needed to “relinquish control of her response to the Lively subpoena to Wayfarer” in order to receive financial support.
“From that point forward, Baldoni has tried to manipulate, threaten, control and otherwise act inappropriately towards Ms. Ferrer,” her legal team alleged in the filing obtained by E! News.
The new claims come shortly after Baldoni’s lawyers filed a motion on August 12 claiming Ferrer had been unresponsive regarding his subpoena.
Ferrer’s attorneys responded, filing a rebuttal that claimed Baldoni had “engaged in bad faith tactics” and used the motion “for improper purposes and with the aim of harassing” her.
The documents also claim that Baldoni’s requests overlapped heavily with Lively’s existing subpoena — one Ferrer had already complied with — and that the duplicate demands were made purely to pressure her. Her team argued that the motion “demonstrates that the real aim of the Baldoni Subpoena, as well as the pending motion, is to harass Ms. Ferrer”.
Ferrer has now asked the court to deny Baldoni’s motion and impose sanctions on him.
“While Ms. Ferrer will faithfully comply with her legal obligations under any subpoena, summons or court order, she obviously will not be intimidated or extorted by any party to otherwise participate in the proceedings,” her lawyers said, per E! News.
This dispute is closely linked to the broader case between Baldoni and Lively. The Gossip Girl alum filed a sexual harassment complaint against Baldoni in December 2024, accusing him of misconduct and a retaliatory smear campaign — claims Baldoni has denied. Ferrer became involved when Lively’s legal team subpoenaed her communications connected to the case back in February.
Meanwhile, Baldoni has previously accused Lively of influencing Ferrer against him. In his since-dismissed $400 million countersuit against Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, Baldoni alleged that Lively had urged Ferrer to “shun” him during press events for the film — something that appeared to play out when Ferrer and other stars avoided promoting the movie alongside him in August 2024.
Both Lively’s case against Baldoni and Ferrer’s dispute with him are moving through the courts, with a trial date set for March 2026.
