IT Chapter Two trailer hid a huge spoiler in plain sight

Spoiler warning for It Chapter Two

It's been like Christmas come early for fans of Pennywise the Clown (Bill Skarsgard) as the evil villain made his cinematic comeback with the much-anticipated sequel, It Chapter Two.

The new instalment of the battle between the Loser's Club and the malevolent creature who feasts on fear is set 27 years after the first film as the grown up kids now face their fears as adults.

But the final battle to defeat It isn't easy and losses are made.

However, the Stephen King adaptation actually gave away hints at this twist in its own trailer if you kept your eyes peeled!

Warning: Spoilers for It Chapter Two

Jessica Chastain plays Beverly in the film version of Stephen King's novel (Warner Bros)

In the chilling finale, one Loser to meet a bloody end was Richie's (Bill Hader) sparring partner, Eddie (James Ransone) who was impaled by Pennywise in a spider-like form.

The Losers, especially Richie, are left mourning their friend, but the triler footage hinted at his end - along with that of Stan (Andy Bean) who commits suicide before even returning to Derry to face Pennywise.

A shot near the end of the trailer shows the five surviving Losers from the end of the film standing together in Derry and looking at their reflections in a shop window.

Their reflections are seen, however, as their younger selves - including Eddie and Stan, who are both absent as adults.

So, essentially, we should have kept our eyes peeled a bit more!

It Chapter Two is out in UK cinemas now.
