Isuzu launches new D-Max pick-up truck

A NEW Isuzu D-Max is to be released in March, bringing extra comfort and refinement to the pick-up truck range.

With a fresh look to its styling, the Japanese brand’s newcomer has more imposing lines and sits on 18in wheels. Inside, there are changes to the dashboard design and a new infotainment system, as well as soft-touch panelling.

Isuzu has changed the suspension system for an improved ride and to reduce noise levels inside the cab. There’s also a faster engaging shift-on-the-fly 4WD system and a rear diff-lock on some models.

Safety systems include autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, a speed limiter and lane departure warning on every model.

Isuzu says the new D-Max is the only pick-up in the UK to have a rear radar fitted as standard on all double cab variants and all double cabs have rear cross traffic alert, a blind spot monitor and emergency lane keeping.

It has 3.5-tonne towing ability and will be available with a variety of 4x2 and 4x4 powertrains, three cab options and four trim levels. Prices are still to be announced.
