Manchester United can take a major step towards qualification for the Champions League knockout stages when they visit Istanbul Basaksehir tonight.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have made a perfect start to the campaign with back-to-back wins over Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig, and given they hammered the latter 5-0, moving onto nine points at the midway stage would put them in a commanding position.
However, Sunday’s 1-0 home defeat by Arsenal has left Solskjaer under scrutiny once more.
Turkish champions Basaksehir are playing in the group stage of the competition for the first time and have gotten off to a tough start, losing each of their first two matches 2-0.
