ISS brightens up Tokyo's morning sky

The International Space Station (ISS), with astronauts Soichi Noguchi and Akihiko Hoshide aboard, was visible to the naked eye as it passed over Tokyo in the early hours Sunday.

The ISS appeared low in the predawn southwestern sky a little after 4:14 a.m., shining brightly in the sunlight. It passed almost directly above the capital and could be observed from the region for about five minutes until it disappeared from view in the northeast.
