Israeli Tourist Goes Missing in Egypt

An Israeli man has gone missing in Egypt, Israeli police said.

Aviv Slobodkin, 26, had been traveling in Egypt’s western desert region on the border with Libya since early September, they said.

He was last heard from on Sunday, and his current whereabouts are unknown.

His sister said that Aviv visits deserts across the globe every time he has the opportunity to do so.

She said the tourist started his visit in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula and then moved to the western desert.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry announced that it was in contact with Egyptian authorities to know Aviv’s whereabouts.
