
Israeli settlers have stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque flanked by Israeli police on Monday.
The settlers performed Talmud rituals, carried out provocative tours, and took pictures, sources told official Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Settlers broke in several time during the past days, while the Israeli forces tightened the grip on the Jerusalem citizens and blocked all roads leading to the city under the pretext of Jewish holidays.
Last May witnessed clashes between Israeli and Palestinian soldiers in Jerusalem.
The Palestinian youths stood against the Israeli forces’ storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, with the support of the Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza.
For its part, Israel responded by shelling the Strip.
Egypt brokered a ceasefire between the Palestinian factions and Israel in Gaza Strip, following a tense period from May 10 till May 21 that led to the death of more than 250 Palestinians and 13 Israelis, in addition to wide scope destruction in the Strip.
