Israeli man shot and wounded near Egyptian border

An Israeli citizen has reportedly been wounded by gunfire near the Egyptian border, an Israeli Defence Force (IDF) spokesperson has said. 

The Defence Ministry employee was doing maintanance work on the border fences near Mount Harif on the country's southern border when he was shot.

His condition is reported to be 'moderate' and an investigation is ongoing, the IDF said.
