Israeli forces have released video footage showing what they claim to be 'terrorist fire' originating from buildings within Al-Shifa hospital directed at Israeli troops. This incident occurred on Monday and was detailed in a joint statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israel Security Agency Shin Bet (ISA).
The IDF and ISA stated that they are currently carrying out a 'precise operational activity' in the vicinity of Al-Shifa hospital. In the course of their operation, the troops reportedly encountered terrorist fire emanating from multiple hospital buildings. The Israeli forces promptly engaged the assailants and confirmed hitting several targets.
Early on Monday, Israeli forces encircled the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, where approximately 30,000 individuals, as per the Ministry of Health in Gaza, have sought refuge.
