The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) issued a message in Persian to the Iranian community as it continues to attack the country, providing a link to the Mossad's website for those who want to get in touch.
"Dear citizens of Iran: we understand the difficult situation given the complicated circumstances created by the regime. Over the past days, we have received numerous messages conveying worry about the uncertainty the future holds. Even those identifying themselves as members of the regime's security establishment have expressed their fear, despair and ire over the situation unfolding in Iran and ask us to get them in touch with Israeli authorities so Iran does not end up like Lebanon and Gaza," the message begins.
The message goes on to say that the IDF are not the "competent authority for these kind of requests" but "the least we can do" is provide a link to the Mossad's website. "Perhaps... perhaps you'll find a way to improve your situation there. Make sure to only communicate with us through and external VPN!," the message adds.
The publication comes as Israel continues striking Iran and vows to completely dismantle its nuclear and ballistic missile program while speculation mounts about whether the United States will enter the war.
Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned against U.S. strikes on Wednesday, saying President Donald Trump's call for "unconditional surrender" was "threatening and ridiculous." "Any U.S. military intervention will undoubtedly cause irreparable damage," added Khamenei, claiming that Israel had made a "huge mistake" by attacking and would be punished.
Elsewhere, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov warned the U.S. against actively striking Iran. "We warn Washington against such even speculative, theoretical options," the official told Russian news agency Interfax. "This would be a step that would radically destabilize the entire situation," he added.
