Israel is set to release 90 prisoners and detainees on Sunday, as confirmed by the Palestinian Prisoners Society. This release includes 69 women and nine minors, with the youngest being just 15 years old.
Initially, the Israeli Justice Ministry had announced that 95 individuals would be released. However, it was later discovered that some of the listed individuals had already been freed prior to this announcement.

Providing some context, it is estimated that Israel currently holds around 10,000 Palestinian prisoners, as reported by the Commission of Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Society. This number does not account for an undisclosed amount of Palestinians who are being held captive in Gaza.
Within the total number of Palestinian prisoners held by Israel, approximately 3,376 individuals are under administrative detention. This means that they have not been charged publicly nor have they faced trial. Among these detainees are 95 children and 22 women.
