Israeli officials have approved a plan to confiscate dozens of dunams of private Palestinian land in the West Bank city of Bethlehem to construct and expand new settler units.
Israel intends to expand settlements and build new roads in their surroundings in a way that bans Palestinian from using these lands in any means whether for construction, agriculture or other reasons.
The lands are slated to be used for segregated public facilities and roads, in addition to various residential units for the settlers.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates (MOFAE) has denounced in the strongest terms the Israeli occupation authority's approval of the settlement plots.
The statement called on the international community to break its silence over the Israeli violations. It warned that the silence can be interpreted as compliance with or in fear of the occupying power.
MOFAE further decried the violations carried out by the terrorist militias of settlers against Palestinian citizens and their lands and possessions.
Israeli settlers attacked on Saturday a Palestinian family in Yatta. They also entered Huwara and attacked the houses of citizens. Another group attacked many homes in the city of Nablus.
